Vision of “Zero Defect” in Cable and Wire Production

Cable production is a highly sensitive process that requires continuous high-speed flow, where even the smallest defect can lead to significant material waste. In line with its Industry 4.0 vision, Proton Automation integrates image processing and machine learning technologies into production lines to minimize human-related errors in this process.

Within the scope of R&D activities carried out at our Design Center, we have successfully implemented projects such as detecting invisible defects in cable insulation and automatic counting of round steel rods. From the smelting of non-ferrous metals such as copper and aluminum to wire rod casting, we utilize control software developed entirely with our in-house resources at every stage. Through collaborative R&D projects with Turkey’s leading cable manufacturers, we not only automate production lines but also transform them into “learning and monitoring” intelligent systems.
